History of Kainchi Dham
The history of Kainchi Dham dates back to 1962, when Neem Karoli Baba came to the area and recognised its spiritual significance.
According to the history preserved by the Shri Kainchi Hanuman Mandir Trust, the site had previously been associated with saints who practised meditation and spiritual rituals there. Maharaj Ji instructed his devotees to develop the site and establish a Hanuman temple. Over time, additional temples, buildings and the ashram developed around it.
After Neem Karoli Baba’s Mahaparayan in 1973, a Samadhi shrine was established at Kainchi Dham, further strengthening the site’s importance to his devotees.
